We collaborated with the council on the organisation of the events in commemoration of Altab Ali. Purbo Pictures: South Asians on Film + Panel Discussion Diaspora Through the Lenses screening a selection of films exploring the South Asian diaspora in the UK since the early 20 century. These includes Credo (Bob Bee, 1978), Purbo London (Ruhul Amin, 1983) and South Asian Britain (Var. Directors, Independent Cinema Office, 2017). The screening was followed by a panel discussion with a distinguished line-up of filmmakers and artists that included Farrukh Dhondy, Imruh Bakari, Tom Learmonth and Ruhul Amin, and was chaired by Clelia.
